American actress Kathy is a former profesional fighter who is still active in martial arts. She is instructor at the MMA training gym ''TapOut'' in downtown Los Angeles and co-owner of ''Azteca Training Center'' in Los Angeles. She gives lessons in muay thai, kickboxing and kung fu san soo.

She started with martial arts at young age and is trained in aikido, shorin ryu karate and kung fu. She is also an expert in the handling of firearms, knives, swords and other martial arts weapons. She has an 8th degree black belt in kung fu san soo and a 1st degree black belt in aikido.

She started with aikido and shorin-ryu karate before she begins with san soo kung fu lessons under the wings of Eric Nolan. She starts to compete in competitions and tournaments. Eric's martial arts school organise an amateur kickboxing event when her rival Kay Morris asks: if Kathy is interested to fight against her. She accepts the challenge and has nine days to prepare herself for the fight. She wins the fight against Kay Morris (She weighs 70 pounds heavier than her) without kickboxing experience. 

Eric Nolan makes an training schedule for her: 12 rounds of full-contact sparring with all male opponents (she says that girls don't hit hard enough) include hitting a heavy bag, running up stadium stairs with a 150-pound male on her shoulders, bowling balls throwing on her stomach and weight lifting to the point that she can lift 210 pounds (at least), in order to prepare her for serious work.

She starts her fight career in the ''World Karate Association (WKA)'' and ''Karate International Council of Kickboxing (KICK) championships''. She is very skilled and has the talents to win a title. She was hard and ruthless for her opponents and lost only one fight against Lisa Hallworth as kickboxer.

She trains for her MMA debut with Betiss Mansouri and Romie Aram at the ''Millennia MMA'' and trains with Gokor Chivichyan and Gene LeBell at the ''Hayastan Academy''. She trains also with Javier Vazquez at the ''Universal Martial Arts Cente'' and trains with Muay Thai and strength conditioning coach Maria Morales in order to prepare her for the fight.

She made her MMA debut on 15-08-2009 in the fight against Avery Vilche at the ''Call 2 Arms II - Called out'' event held at the Business Bank Arena in Ontario (California). She wins the fight by Unanimous Decision after 5 Rounds. 

She appeared on more than 35 martial arts magazine covers in the USA, Europe and Asia. She did the stunt double of Michelle Pfeiffer ''Batman Returns'' (1992) and did stunts in ''Natural Born Killers'' (1994).

Action Movie Career

She made her action movie debut as T-Frost next to Cynthia Rothrock who plays the lead role as high-school teacher/karate instructor Kris Fairchild in ''Rage and Honor'' (1992). She protects one of her students who innocently witnesses a drug transaction which she records on camera. She teams up with a Australian police officer who investigates the drugs transaction.

She plays female martial arts cyborg Nea who is kidnapped by cyborg Simon (played by Scott Paulin) in ''Knights'' (1993). She's rescued by Cyborg Gabriel (played by Kris Kristofferson) who trains her as killer in order to destroy all cyborgs and their camp. Nea fights alone against dozens of cyborgs and kills them one by one. 

She plays the mysterious woman the stranger who arrives in Lakeview a city which is terrorised by a violent biker gang led by Angel (played by Andrew Divoff) in ''The Stranger'' (1995). She grew up as little girl in Lakeview and Angel has abused her as child. Now she's back to take revenge against the responsible persons. The local sheriff Gordon Cole (played by Eric Pierpoint) is too afraid to do something, to stop the gang. They have murdered his fiancee after he tried to bring evidence of the gang to the FBI. The stranger helps sheriff Gordon Cole in order to save the city. She fights alone against the motor gang and kills all members one by one.

She plays Lisa Kruse next to Richard Norton who plays the lead role as former ice hockey star Frank Torrance in ''Under the Gun'' (1995). Frank is now night club owner with debts who must fight against Italian and Asian mobsters, corrupt police and an angry pimp in order to keep his club in business.

Action Movie Documentary


She appears in action documentary ''UFC 1: The Beginning'' (1993) next to Royce Gracie, Joao Alberto Barreto, Alan Brakup, Jim Brown and Jason Delucia. The early UFC matches were not a contest between individuals but more a contest between different fighting styles. Each fighter is skilled in one form of martial arts who was built physically to take advantage of the rules and conventions associated with each form.


Her action movie character is portrayed in the documentary ''Top Fighter II: Deadly China Dolls'' (1996). This documentary is a sequel of the documentary "Top Fighter" (1995) and portrays the biggest action heroines ever. The show goes behind the scenes with TV footage and interviews with several heroines in short clips. The documentary shows how the path goes from upcoming action heroine till real action movie superstar. The most beautiful and wellknown female fighters are playing in this documentary and is a voyage by the times.
